What did you think of this book when you first read its title?

I know it sounds funny, but I had this idea in my head of what I taught the book was about. However, the book exceeded my expectations. The first impression of the title "Sand People" was that the plot is about people living in sandy areas—a story of their struggles as a community.

I genuinely thought it was going to be a memoir or some form of inspirational book because I am used to the book's title being a contrast from the book's content as some form of twist.

I didn't really know what to think, I do not think the title gives so any clues. But it's a short title and I think a smart one.

First of all, the name didn't do justice to what the book truly entails. But I thought of adventure and fantasy. The name actually made me want to read it.

The image of a young girl with a backpack against the backdrop of a beach with a rocky cliff, along with the title and subtitle, gave me the impression that the book is about a young girl from a rural beach town embarking on a mysterious adventure related to her hometown.

Initially, I misinterpreted the subject matter, believing it to be a representation of a culture or community of beings with a sandy constitution or dwelling in a sandy habitat.

“SandPeople” is definitely a unique title to a book. I’m not very sure what came to my mind when I first read the title. I think reading this book will make things clear.

To be honest it gave me Alladin vibes due to words like sand, mystry and time. Seemed like the book contains some fictional story from years back related to sand or people who stayed in desert.
