I would recommend this book to young adults, teens, and adults, too, seeing as there are some important lessons to be learned even if this is not a memoir or book written solely for the purpose of education. I would also recommend this book to any kid whose parents are going through a divorce. Fans of historical fiction will also enjoy this book.

This book is best for middle-grade and young adult readers as well as readers interested in historical fiction. I think the historical elements and the incorporation of local Texas history into the plot provide an engaging backdrop that can appeal to these two groups because they will enjoy learning about history through fiction.

I recommend "Sandpeople" to young adults and readers who enjoy emotional, coming-of-age stories about personal development, family complexities, divorce, and self-discovery.

I see most of the commentary focuses on the younger ones to take a look at the book. What about the parents? They are the center of this divorce brouhaha in the book.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of intelligent effort.

I would recommend this book to children aged 10-17. I believe they would be able to relate to Lea and her thoughts and experiences, particularly if they have parents who are divorced or going through a divorce.

I recommend the book to parents as a whole, teachers of any kind because they are the gateway to any kind of person who has a family today, seekers of parental control and guidance, counselors to increase their knowledge on broken homes, and solely children under the age of 18 to read.

Another group of audience that this book might appeal to are teens whose parents are divorced. This is just a recommendation as it might bring them some sort of comfort

"Sandpeople" is an excellent choice for pre-teens and younger teenagers dealing with family challenges, such as divorce or difficulties as the themes of self-discovery, emotional struggles, and resilience are universally relevant and also to Young adults navigating life's transitions, including those facing family dynamics and seeking self-discovery
