as for the first time i read this boo, i do not have any draw backs. I plan on reading again, probably i will find something odd. "SandPeople: An Across Time Mystery" by Cheryl Kerr is a good book.

It shows the true struggles of a preteen dealing with family issues. As someone whose parents are still married, it is hard to really know how she felt.

Lea's story was interesting and relatable, but I didn't appreciate the way the indigenous people were described repeatedly as "dangerous, cannibalistic Indians." If that hadn't occurred, I would feel much more comfortable reading and recommending this book to others.
