I found it adventurous but sedate and controlled, as the subject matter didn't lend itself to being action-packed. The plot moved along nicely, and I found it compelling: who was the little girl? where was the wreckage? will they find more in the dig? I think it must have been high adventure to the 2 young teens, and very exciting.

It is hard to suppose "SandPeople" is the kind of adventurous book you imagine when the word adventurous is mentioned. The "SandPeople" emphasize Lea's inner emotions as the definition of the character. But that's a different kind of adventure; it is the same as those on the outside.

The book is adventurous. I find more elements of mystery and tension. You want to know how the author will continue, therefore more mystery.

I wouldn't say that this book was adventurous. This book was more in the lines of mysterious and intriguing. There were instances where the book took an adventurous turn, but that wasnt the overarching feeling throughout.

I don’t think this book offers a complete adventure ride. Some parts of this book have mystery and spooky elements to them that can contribute to a bit of an adventure.

Lea likely needs to use her wit and resourcefulness to solve the mystery. This element of overcoming challenges can be appealing to readers who enjoy stories with resourceful protagonists.

The book isn't literally adventurous but, intriguing and thought provoking. It carries the reader along with the characters.

Lea moved from her home to a cabin with someone she didn't know well. She made new friends and solved a mystery that involved bringing aboard a lot of different people and traveling to different places to find answers. I think it has a fair bit of adventure.

The whole journey to their grandparents', the experiences at school, and Lea solving a mystery of dissappearing sweets all scream adventure to me. Of course it was adventurous!
