I wouldn't call "SandPeople" a spooky book. The theme of "SandPeople" seems to be focused on Lea's search for herself, her parents divorce, and the friends she makes in the process. This probably means that the story will be more about sharing experiences than causing fear.

It is definitely not spooky. The only remotely spooky part is the appearance of the sand people, but even that is very innocent.

No, I would not say SandPeople is spooky. I was worried that it would be since it was kind of a "ghost story." But I found it to be more historical mystery and less of a spooky ghost story.

I didn't find it spooky. I think it was more a book about discovering the past than a spooky ghost story.

I won't say that it is spooky. There was a part when it became a bit hait-tingling, maybe, but overall it was more of an innocent appearance.

The book is not spooky overall, with only a mildly eerie appearance of sand people, portrayed innocently.

"SandPeople: An Across Time Mystery" by Cheryl Kerr combines elements of adventure, archaeology, and the supernatural into an engaging young adult mystery. While the inclusion of ghosts and pirate legends might evoke a spooky atmosphere, the overall tone of the book leans more towards thrilling adventure rather than outright horror.
