I think the cover emphasises the dark nature of the COVID vaccines, which is in line with the theme of the book. However, for those who are already against the vaccines, it may actually scare them more. I think the use of the dark colours is a bit too much for what is presented as a scientific text. I do think the image of the needle is well-placed and supports the main message of the book.

The cover of "Neither Safe Nor Effective" is stark and striking, immediately drawing attention with its bold typography and dark color scheme. The use of a syringe image, rendered in a neon-like outline, directly emphasizes the book’s critical stance on COVID-19 vaccines. The subtitle, highlighted in white against the black background, adds a sense of urgency and authority. Overall, the design is minimalist but provocative, clearly aimed at sparking debate and attracting readers interested in controversial topics.

A dark background looks good only when its other colors are in strong contrast. A black background makes the front come out. However, the image and text on the cover are not that bright to make it catchy. On the other hand, it looks serious and grim which may go with the book's theme but is still not attractive enough in my opinion.

I really like the cover of this book, with the theme strongly stated without any bold or stark colors and despite keeping it subtle. It was definitely something that attracted me to the book. Kudos to the design team!!

I dislike this cover; there's something about it that isn't very professional or polished seeming. It's too basic. As others have mentioned, particularly the font is bad, chunky, and clunky. I suppose there is something about the cover that gives off "scientific journal or publication," so if that's what they were going for, then it's been achieved. If it's for a broader, general audience, the cover isn't that appealing.

The cover of this book was matured and has a nice demeanor. I must say, it was legendary

Even just by glancing at the dark color and everything, I believe the cover is fantastic. To understand the details that went into the book cover, though, I will need to finish the book. Therefore, it doesn't seem that horrible to me.

The cover is perfect for the book's theme. Although it might seem dull and dark to some, it carefully portrays the theme of the book. It didn't attract me much but I must say it suits the topic being discussed in the book.

I really liked this cover. The needle made me a little weary but I thought it complimented the title of the book.

I typically prefer book covers with lots of color and intricate patterns, but there's something compelling about this cover's stark simplicity. The dark, grainy background and the focus on the broken syringe create a powerful and ominous effect that suits the book's topic perfectly.

I think the cover is good enough! However, it is not the best one. A little bit of improvement with respect to the font and the cover image could have been better.

I'm not keen on the cover, it would put me off reading it. The broken syringe works well with the subject matter, but I don't think the black or the font look good. I think there is too much writing.
