For August 2024, we will be discussing books that fall under the genre, Middle Grade/Children's Chapter Books!

Last summer, I started reading the Series of Unfortunate Events. I hadn't read the books when I was younger, but I saw the movie and enjoyed it. I decided to read the books before watching the series on Netflix. I'd say the series is more for middle schoolers to read on their own, but I think that younger children could still enjoy it if being read to or reading with an adult. The writing style is pretty easy, and the author includes definitions of some of the bigger, more complex words. I haven't finished the series yet, but I've really enjoyed the books I've read so far and look forward to reading more.
