I was drawn to 'Quest: Finding Freddie: Reflections from the Other Side' by Thomas Richard Spradlin because of its unique blend of historical nonfiction, adventure, and personal reflection. The book's premise, which follows the author's quest to locate and rescue a prominent businessman in 1970s Nigeria, intrigued me. I was also interested in the cultural and political insights the book promised to offer, as well as the author's personal journey and reflections
