I think that supporting characters have a lot of impact on the main character's journey. "No man is an island" is a saying that applies to every person's life, and I think it also applies to books. The supporting characters help to move the plot and help the main character grow and developed in many ways. We can also learn a lot from their interactions with the main character and interactions between themselves, and if they are well developed, they also go through their own journey that interacts with the main character's journey and has an impact on it.

i think the supporting character have a bigger impact on the main character. No tree can make a forest. without the supporting character, the main character will never achieve his main purpose the the book . so they help add more value to the role of main character

In Demonslayer by Ian P. Eviston, supporting characters play a critical role in shaping the journey of the main character. They provide emotional support, challenge the protagonist's beliefs, and serve as mirrors to his own growth and struggles. Some characters push him to face his inner fears, while others present obstacles or moral dilemmas that test his resolve. Their actions and advice help guide the protagonist's transformation, contributing to his ability to overcome external threats and fulfill his destiny.
