I agree with the admin. Sister Rosalie was the most vividly portrayed, which I found endearing but also somewhat disheartening because that means that our main character was lacklustre, which she was.

Sister Roe’s charismatic character. Tod’s distasteful character much to my dislike 😤

Sister Rosalie is portrayed vividly in the book. The other characters in the story react differently to her strong personality and enthusiasm for American history. They either adore her or despise her, or perhaps both.

Trisha, Vanessa's loyal friend, is a strong and independent woman who stands by her friend through thick and thin. Her unwavering support and sharp wit add depth and humor to the story.

Sister Rosalie! Her character connects with the character of Vanessa, who drives the plot. I love her role in moving the plot's conflict toward resolution.

Sister Rosalie, more than anyone else, I suppose. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like the characters were all that well fleshed out - lots of exposition instead of demonstration.

Most undoubtedly Sister Rosalie’s character was vividly portrayed. A very strict, but loving person and had a strong personality to take charge and risk it all, which was automatically transferred to Vanessa. I loved her character.

Vanessa's character stands out to me as having the most remarkable and resilient personality. Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks throughout her life, she consistently demonstrates a steadfast determination and unwavering strength. Her ability to navigate and adapt to difficult situations is truly admirable, and her courage in the face of adversity is inspiring. Vanessa's strong personality serves as the emotional anchor of the story, drawing the reader into her world and making her journey feel deeply personal and relatable.

I believe Trisha more than most is given a vivid personality in the story. Her unwavering loyalty and commitment to Vanessa, her drunken late nights with strangers, the deep devotion for her family are only some of the features of this multifaceted character. She is honestly my favorite.

I think Sister Rosalie and possibly Trisha are the only vividly portrayed characters. I can't think of how to describe Vanessa at all. Vanessa is just a character that things happen to. Even the detectives had a more distinct portrayal in two chapters than Vanessa had in the whole book.

Sister Rosalie and Todd had the most vivid personalities to me. Sister Rosalie is ebullient, full of facts, witty, and kind. Todd was scarily mean and controlling to Vanessa but outwardly charming. I could not really get a handle on the personalities of some of the other characters. There wasn't enough detail given in my opinion.
