I felt it was quite rushed, with the two policemen skirting about.
It was disappointing to see her take barry back but I was relieved the baby wasn't harmed.

I ending was too abrupt. She meets up with Barry again in the the hospital, and that's it. The end. Does she get back together with him?

The last chapter feels like all the characters are running on a treadmill, and readers have to mentally match their pace. This rushed closure diminishes the impact of certain story arcs, leaving no satisfactory ending for some obvious matters. I honestly do not like the ending of the book.

I didn't like the ending. I thought it was too abrupt. Vanessa found Barry in the hospital, he says he's always loved, her, and BINGO...they're back together. I mean....she didn't even know he was divorced at that point. He didn't apologize for the way he treated her all those years ago, or explain anything. After everything Vanessa learned throughout her life, and the way both of her romantic relationships ended, I'd have expected her to take some time to make such a huge decision, especially now that she had a child to consider. I'd believe she might give him a second chance, but it would take awhile for her to agree to even that, and MUCH longer before she went back to him.

I did not like the very end. It felt as though the story could have used another chapter or an epilogue. What happens to Trisha? Would Vanessa eventually return to work since Tod forced her to stay at home once she had the baby? What happens to Tod and his father?

To me, the ending felt rushed. I didn't like that Vanessa went back to Barry even though she just got out of an abusive relationship and has a sick child. Also, I wish that Vanessa had taken more of an active role in the final events. It felt like Trisha did most of the work.

I felt it ended too abruptly. I do believe Barry and Vanessa had suffered enough and deserved to finally be happy together.

Exactly, I felt the same way, we could have used a lot more closure. I definitely think they are going to end up in jail, unless their money solves that problem. There is enough proof to prove conspiracy at least.

Can somebody please acknowledge the fact that Barry is still married and has a child? What are we supposed to think—that he’s just going to get a divorce? I was a bit surprised by the direction the author decided to take.

Disappointing. The story was engaging and had me at the edge of my seat, but the ending just fell flat for me. I didn't like Barry, although he "redeemed" himself in a way towards the end. Despite his redemption, ending the book in Vanessa and Barry getting back together as if nothing had happened was unsatifying, to say the least. Also, Barry was divorced and co-parenting his child when it happened (not that it makes things better).

I like the ending with Barry and Vanessa reuniting. This proves their undying love for each other. However, I did not like that Trisha's life was threatened again. How much can one girl take? I think the writer is a bit cruel to Triisha. I think she deserved a break.

I personally enjoyed the ending, as it took a dramatic turn. It was obvious the Von Westerkamps wouldn't enjoy finding out that Tod’s wife, who they already didn’t like, was actually untruthful about her origins. I liked the whole investigation aspect, though I’m biased because I enjoy police romances. Overall, I think it was well tied together and didn’t feel rushed at all.

I found the ending a bit forced. There was too much Hollywood in it with fight scenes etc. I would have preferred a simpler ending.
