I liked her, but I found her history lessons to be quite annoying; it was just too much information at once. Other than that, you have to admire her for the love she showed toward Vanessa and the way she prepared and set her up for the future.
Her no-nonsense attitude and unwillingness to back down were truly admirable. We could all benefit from having such a strong maternal figure in our lives.
