I actually like the cover. I can´t say that it is a beautiful cover, but it does present elements in the book such as the birth certificate. However, what I like the most is the fact that this cover uses neutral tones which creates, precisely, a sense of "Calm" that we can later understand that is nothing but far from the truth.

I think it's fantastic but I think there's a deeper meaning that only those who have read the book will understand. The colour theory deployed is on point as well so in summary this is a perfect cover.

The book has an amazing cover. At first, I thought the cover is plain with the image of the bridge but seeing the picture up close right now, I can see a birth certificate at the background which indicate that aspect of Vanessa’s life.

Outstanding. At first glance you'd think that it means nothing but I like that the author only rewards readers of the book with the meaning.

I found the cover to be quite intriguing. This is actually part of the reason I looked at the book to begin with. Reading the title, combined with the cover, it looked mysterious. I'm a naturally curious person, so I had to see for myself what the mystery was. The only thing that might make it better, now that I've read the book, is a picture of Vanessa overlaid in front of the bridge looking over her shoulder.

I'm really drawn to the book's cover, which initially caught my attention and influenced my decision to buy it. The cover effectively conveys key elements of the story, such as Vanessa's unknown origins and her upbringing by Sister Rosalie, hinted at by the birth certificate. The background also cleverly evokes the novel's context. The serene atmosphere of the cover contrasts intriguingly with the theme of deception, piquing the reader's curiosity. Overall, the cover is a fitting representation of the novel.

This is the first time I'm seeing the book cover properly and it’s amazing to see the bridge and the “hidden” birth certificate in the background. It's quite creative.

The book cover expertly weaves together the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and a birth certificate, cleverly encapsulating the novel's central themes of identity, secrecy, and hidden realities. The understated design and subdued color palette add an air of mystery, skillfully establishing the tone for a narrative that delves into the complex and deeply personal secrets that shape the protagonist's life.

I find the cover to be very eye catching, but then the certificate was a nice touch. It highlights the topic of identity which this novel entails.

To me, the cover is a bit plain, but that was how Vanessa's past was portrayed. The Golden Gate was the colorful part, representing the new life she had created for herself. If I'm interpreting this wrong, please let me know. Thank you!

I really liked the cover of the book. I think it has a 1960s post card feel to it. I think it fit really well with the theme of the book.

I think the cover represents the story well. I like the stark red of the bridge contrasted with the pale, muted colours for the rest of the cover. The birth certificate is a good way to introduce Vanessa's birth with everything unknown apart from the name of the witness, Sister Rosalie, who will be an important person in Vanessa's life.
