What did you think of the cover of this book?

I have to say I quite like the cover of the book. It was part of what drew me to purchase it. Some of the key aspects of the narrative are visible on the cover. The birth certificate alludes to how Vanessa does not know her origins, and how Sister Rosalie was the one who raised her, and also hints at the theme of stolen identity. The background also reminds me of the context of the novel. There is a general sense of calm invoked by the cover, and makes the reader or potential reader wonder what would be deceptive about it. As such, the cover represents the novel well.

The cover of the book looks fantastic. At first, I didn’t pay much attention to it, but as I started reading, I found myself drawn to it. It has a calming presence that resonates with me. I love its simplicity, which adds to its charm, and the concept behind it is really intriguing. The colors used are thoughtfully chosen and perfectly complement the title, making the overall design even more appealing.

This book has an amazing cover. While I was reading, I saw that I was pulled to it even though I hadn't given it any thought before. It speaks to me because of its peaceful presence. I think the idea behind it is incredibly unique, and its simplicity only serves to enhance its charm. An added touch of appeal to the overall design comes from the well-chosen colors that properly match the title.

The cover of this book dorsa good job at pointing towards some key elements of the book, but I personally do not find it intriguing enough in its own to decide to read the story. Once I read the description of the story in addition to seeing the cover I chose to read this story and I really enjoyed it.

Your point about the bridge reflection is interesting. I do agree that it may have created an additional element on the cover that could distract readers. However, I also wonder if the purpose of the reflection is to imply a calm water surface, which then aligns with the title of the book, 'Deceptive Calm'. That being said, it is also possible that there could be another method for portraying calm, perhaps through colour choice (blue?) instead.

The book cover, in one word, is elegant. It immediately catches attention. Upon closer inspection, one can clearly understand the key elements of the plot represented cleverly in the cover. The color palette represents the calm. The bridge points towards the setting. In conclusion, I loved this cover.

I liked the cover honestly. According to my imagination, it depicts the water under the bridge. It's deceptively calm before the big tragedy or disaster. So yeah. I think it's apt.

I don't normally pay attention to the cover of a book; I am always interested in the quality of the writing. But commenting on this topic, I would say the cover is simple and appealing in it's own way. Not sophisticated but not poor either.

It is good for the cover to connect the reader to the book. The cover includes parts related to the plot, as the birth certificate, which makes the choice of its elements successful. Maybe the only thing is that although I like soft colors, a deeper shade of color might be better as an attraction factor for me.
