Do you think the characters in "Deceptive Calm" by Patricia Skipper are well-developed?

I feel that although the characters were well-developed, they were mostly dynamic, which was a little limiting.

I believe that the characters were well developed, although I believe that they could have done better as the book had such a strong plot.

I personally feel the most developed characters are Trisha, Venessa, Todd, and Barry; which is ok considering they are the most important for the story to come together in full.

The characters were well developed. When it came down to being clueless about something or expressing an emotion, the author did an excellent job.

I do not have any problems with the character development. All background information about the character was sufficient enough for me to enjoy the story.

I did not think the characters were very developed. Vanessa was portrayed as the naive over achiever and Trisha was the bubbly alcoholic who was a loyal friend. Barry had no personality at all in my opinion. It would have been nice to see more depth to these characters and to see how their personalities evolve over time.

I think the characters were well developed overall. Vanessa and Sister Rosalie had a beautiful mother-daughter relationship despite her not being able to officially adopt her. They truly cared and loved each other as family. Vanessa and Trisha had a great friendship with many bonding moments throughout the book as they came of age. Vanessa's relationships with both Barry and Todd while abusive and each of them taking advantage of her naivety is tragic, they were well portrayed. I would have liked more closure in those relationships at the end of the book, I felt there was more to be told in the conclusion of each of their lives in the story.

No, I did not think the characters were well-developed at all. The author just moved through the events of their lives without telling us much about their inner thoughts, feelings, or motivations. There was too much information about their daily lives and not enough information about their inner lives. For example, why did we need to know so many details about Trisha's job? I also thought we were given too much information about some of the side characters. I don't care that the surfing officer's wife is pregnant! It was just overwhelming and distracting, and took away from what could've been the development of Vanessa.

All the characters, in my own opinion, were fully developed. No character was left behind or underdeveloped. I really loved that about the book. It was superb.
