For the quality of writing, I was surprised at the number of grammatical errors and misused words. Also, a lot of the dialogue came across as stilted. A good editor certainly would have made suggestions as to how to make it seem more natural. Lots of the characters spoke like they were reading straight from a textbook.

I understood that the book was going to use racial slurs, but i don't thin it was ecessary for the narrator to join in with these. Thankfully, these only top and tail the book. It was an interesting read. I neither loved, nor loathed it, but it does need a lot of trigger warnings.
