The book cover is catchy and it's what attracted me to this book the most. I loved it.

The cover of this book gives me a feeling of uncertainty. I think that the boy will go through many things, possibly chaotic, but always full of expectations and hopes, without losing his shine even though the whole panorama takes on dark colors.

I like the book cover, as it portrays what the work is mostly about. The presence of the train represents a journey. And the small child on the cover, in my opinion, represents the state of the author before beginning the journey that is his life. I believe he is shown as a child in the cover because the journey is about to change him, inwardly and physically.

I thought the book cover was very provocative but a little misleading. It made it appear that the author traveled to America as a young child, when it was in fact when he was a teenager.

The book cover is appealing but I don't think it would have caused me to read the book. However, I am reading it and the story is interesting and well told.

I like this book cover so much! It is beautiful and captivating. The colors and the smoke give a sense of mystery. Just by looking at this, I can assume this will be a compelling story where the main character is a little boy with hopes and dreams, who has to overcome many obstacles.

I actually liked this book cover (and I'm a hard sell on these things). It helped me to get a clearer picture of the content and direction this book would head.

The cover was very intriguing and inviting. That's what caught my eye at first. It displayed the long voyage a young boy would have to take in order to arrive at his destination.

The cover is expressive and suggests allusion to the stages the author went through. Perhaps because the train must reach its destination, it is a metaphor to part of the book’s title, which is hope.

That boy standing there waiting for the train speaks a lot. I could see hope and a future ahead even with a train blocking all that. Was skeptical about it at first, but after reading it, I saw it.

This cover caught my eye. I like the colors and the way they blend together with the swirling mist. Showing the young boy's back as he faces the train, preparing for his solitary journey shows the magnitude of what he set out to do. It really helped put it all in perspective.

The cover is beautiful. It indicates the start of a journey. The picture of a steam train, and the color choices give it that perfect vintage look. I very much feel the like opening the book, looking at the cover.

The cover is gorgeous, and brought to mind historical fiction I read in school (like the boy in the stripe pajamas). I really like the red on the boy that sets him off from the pastel background.
