Are there any success tips you learned from Cyrus A. Ansary, the author of Odyssey of High Hopes: A Memoir of Adversity and Triumph?

I'm about half way through the book. I would say, one aspect of his success I believe stems from his boldness and courage. Throughout the book we see the author displaying a great deal of confidence in tackling his objectives, where most people might be intimidated. Going to law school, his continual interactions with adults, even while he is still in grade-school. Getting married at a relatively young age despite concerns from his family back home.

Throughout the book, Cyrus takes many risks and displays a very "exploratory" type of behavior where he isn't afraid to try new or different things, all the while he stays focused on his objectives. He also makes plans multiple years in advance, which grants him a good bit of time to think of avenues to achieve those goals. Traveling to America was something he grew up dreaming of, so he had time to think of ways to achieve his goals.

A good attitude by not letting people drag you down. That started when a child, he was determined to get good grades; understood that would make life better for him.

Making contacts and keeping friendships throughout your life will help your confidence.

It offers valuable success tips, notably resilience, perseverance, friendship and self-awareness. His memoir shows that true success lies not just in achievements, but in courageously overcoming adversity and finding a community of friends.

Embracing failure and learning from it, having a positive mindset, and appreciating the little achievements we make in life as they can keep us motivated towards our goals. Taking risks and grabbing opportunities as they present themselves, having confidence in yourself, and persevering through challenges to achieve goals.

He was very good at persevering through challenges. Even when he was discouraged he would press on towards his goals. He was very thorough in all of his research and when finding the answers he needed.

From Odyssey of High Hopes by Cyrus A. Ansary, I can get some success tips that can be drawn from his journey of adversity and triumph:

Be Bold! Don't be held back by fear. The scene that most demonstrated this was when he just walked into the embassy to apply for a job. Today's teens don't even have the confidence to make a phone call; they want to just text, email, or apply online.

I guess what I took away was to never give up no matter what the odds. Even if everything seems stacked against you, one needs to buckle up and grind.

From the title, I thought of the idea of dreaming big, and the book did not disappoint. The author dreamed big despite the many look downs surrounding him, and he achieved it. I think I should learn to do this.
