Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

What stood out the most to me, was the way Ansary was able to recount such amazing stories, yet stay so humble while doing it. He never comes off as boastful or arrogant. He has a seemingly unending amount of charming tales of his experiences. His sharp wit and warm humor work well in this memoir.

Ansary’s life journey is both inspiring and relatable, reflecting the immigrant experience and the pursuit of the American dream. His deep insights into both Iranian and American cultures, as well as the global political dynamics of his time, add a rich historical dimension to his memoir.

The story was realistic and genuine, as it had a true reflection of Cyrus's struggles and experiences with evidence like the pictures that showed his life journey. It addresses relatable challenges that many people struggle to overcome day in and day out.

The premise of 'Odyssey of High Hopes: A Memoir of Adversity and Triumph' by Cyrus A. Ansary made it stand out. The author was determined to realize his dream of becoming a citizen of the United States of America. He overcame the obstacles that came his way through hard work and perseverance. Also, he worked selflessly to improve his native country's economy while chasing his dream. The above mentioned features of the book make it remarkable and memorable.

What stood out for me was that although the author works hard towards becoming a citizen of another country, he keeps his hometown closes to his heart and and is directly involved in its economic progress. This makes the memoir worth reading.

Personally, I think everything about this book makes it stand out. I've read several memoirs but, the author writing about his entire life and adding humour to it is really to read about.
I'll definitely recommend this book to lovers of good books.

For me, it was the beginning of the book that drew me in. It seemed like such an intimate and fragile memory, driven from the heart, it engulfed me.

What stood out for me was Cyrus's outstanding intelligence and combining that with his tenacity and drive meant that many opportunities came his way. When reading of the efforts he went to as a young boy I found it humbling to think how he battled on and didn't let adversity stop him.

A conventional story of overcoming adversity is just by personal struggles and nothing more significant. But "Odyssey of High Hopes" stands out because it doesn't just feature personal struggles as a way to overcome adversity but also by deep connection to his root and the world around, adding societal and cultural views to the mix.
