My childhood friend had a birth defect that left him with one leg shorter than the other, resulting in him wearing a brace from waist to toe. The boys at school bullied him constantly. When we were in high school, they beat him almost to death. His father killed one of the boys because he snapped and could no longer watch his child being abused. As a result, he went to prison for years. His family was left without a father, and the boy's family was left without a child. I was so angry at God for so long about this and questioned why he would allow this to happen.

Yes, there are lots of time when i wished that evil did not exist. It is really painful to remember those periods.

Yes, I've had life experiences that have had me question why God doesn't end evil and suffering in the world. Looking back at the creation story, I've wondered why God, the all powerful, didn't get rid of Satan. Cases of loss of lives and outbreaks of preventable illnesses make me question why God won't put an end to it.

I know about this woman who lost her only son. The boy died at 23. His death was one out of the three times I have had to breakdown to loss. The woman and husband adopted a child who died 3 months after adoption. Three years ago, the husband also died. She is a devout Christian and every time I see her, I wonder why God allowed her to go through all that loss.

I have. Infact, I've had a lot of ugly experiences that made me question why God allows evil to exist. The pains and suffering innocent people experience is enough reason already to end the existence of evil.

Of course. I think everyone thinks about this at some point in their lives. I have seen the suffering and deaths of children which are unquestionably unfair. I think about how God created Satan, knowing all the terrible things that would happen because of it. I think that God simply shouldn't have done so, and seeing that he is all-powerful and all-seeing, he could have chosen not to. But, good does not exist without evil.

I don't know what I concretely think on this. We are often told by Christian evangelists and pastors that God has a reason for everything. But God could easily take away all the evil and unjust suffering.

Pivotal life experiences, such as grief and sickness, have led me to question the existence of an all-powerful, all-loving God. Despite reading the Bible for answers, I found no satisfactory explanations, which ultimately led me to decide to quit seeking those answers and believing.

I fear I haven't lived enough life to account for a first hand experience that made me question God, but whenever somebody askes me this question I'm reminded of a quote. "If God is all powerful, he cannot be all good. If he is all good, he cannot be all-powerful." I do believe that rings true.

Yes, I had the question of why God chose not to end the evil in this world. Right now, I also have the answer. The answer is to balance the life. For example, if there is no evil, how can you know that something is good, and without a good thing, how can you know something is evil? I think both evil and good are reciprocal to each other. There is no evil without good, and there is no good without evil.

I always believe that whatever happens is due to our karma. What we do we get back. But sometimes when I see the sufferings of innocent souls, I strongly doubt myself and question why God would allow that.
