What it takes to make a relationship work properly. The gathering of two people and both connecting on any level shows that human beings are supposed to be social. The fact that, even with forgiveness, you will be held accountable for your actions. Therefore, by pursuing a negative path, you will reap the negative ultimate outcome.

I learned a few things. First, there isn't a one-size-fits-all explanation to why there is evil in the world. Secondly, God allows pain because of love. This one was a hard pill to swallow, though.

I learned a great deal about love. Although I didn't agree with some of the ideas of the author, I wholesomely agree with love for God and His love for us, and that's what I learned.

I learned that the decision of God to give people free will knowing that they could go wrong and cause suffering to themselves and others is a wise decision.

I have learned that the love of God conquers all, regardless of my lack of understanding of many things I question, but the author has managed to bring some clarity on how to deal with pain, sorrow and suffering. Only by complete surrender to love soothes the blows of life.

I learned a lot from this book. The author referenced several philosophies (like Epicurean ideas) I looked up and gained more knowledge from. Probably the most insightful lesson I learned is about the nature of suffering and free will. It's a difficult thing to grapple with, but the explanation that God allows free will because he is purely love is a lesson that has stuck with me.

I learned from the book that God is all-knowing, all-encompassing, and all-loving. I also learned a lot about how the author and Christians should address the question of the problem of evil. It's because God is all-loving that evil is allowed in the world because of free will. But, that is why we have forgiveness and repentance. Important lessons to remember.
