Because I usually don't read this genre, I went in blind. But I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The writing style was quite compelling. So it definitely met my expectations.

It definitely did. I have learned so much about alchemy and it was also a very thought-provoking read. I like books which makes me ponder. This was one of them.

This was one book I went into with absolutely no expectations - all I wanted was to learn something new. So it's an easy answer, but yes it absolutely did for me!

This book met and exceeded my expectations based on content but I did not expect it to be so complicated. Based on this, I'd say it had its good sides and negative sides.
