The featured review is actually why I decided to pick this book up. It was really detailed and outline much of the social science discussed in the book. Honestly, I'm more interested in the social ideas behind the subject matter than I am about alchemy itself, so I thought that it would be an interesting read for me.

Well, as the person who wrote that review, I think the reviews are spot-on!

But seriously, I believe the positive feedback is well-deserved. The book truly is a comprehensive and meticulously researched exploration of alchemy, and Iām glad others are recognizing that.

I found the reviews very interested because, with the title and cover only, I would have expect something different. Knowing that the book is a review of alchemy through time and an approach to its more important concepts make it even more interesting to me. Also, makes me realise that this is likely a book to read when you can fully concentrate on it, not as a light read!
