I share your feelings that I am generally not inclined to pick up a book when the cover has a photo of the author as its most prominent feature.
I think your point about the author’s photo is interesting. But I wonder, if you didn’t know that the person on the cover was the author, do you think you’d still feel the same about picking up the book? Sometimes covers just show a person, and we don’t always know who they are. I’m curious because some people pick up books by new authors just based on the cover or title. Do you usually avoid books by authors you haven’t heard of? How do you usually decide? 😊

I have to admit, I would not have picked this up to read the back cover based on the front cover alone. The colors yellow and red are off-putting to me, and the dots in the corners irritate my OCD, and make me think of my previous job at an IT distributor. I would prefer a cover that is more relatable to someone working at a minimum wage job, if that makes sense.
Hi Danielle! I get how colors and little details can really affect how a cover feels. What I'd like to know is, when you say you’d prefer a cover that feels more relatable to someone working a minimum wage job, what kind of design or images do you think would work better? :)

Normally this type of cover wouldn't catch my eye, but checking out the back cover is an interesting idea. And I think the title is a good one.

What would your opinion be if it were a random person dressed the same? I believe the image is trying to convey a successful person rather than promote the author.

Does anyone know what the background on the cover is? I cannot tell if it is meant to be a large building, a computer server or something completely different. I also find the "100% guaranteed" to be a very bold claim. I guess we will find out after the release.

I like the cover. It gives the face of the man who is the author of the book. This is the man that is providing readers with ideas about how to become millionaires. Most readers like to put a face with the name of the author if they are impressed with the author’s work.

I realize this is a somewhat silly bias but anytime a book shows the author on the cover I find myself judging it a little harsher than I otherwise would.... so it's not my favorite cover but I am probably the minority in this opinion.

I know a lot of thought goes into choosing colors, fonts, graphics, and title placement. I think if I saw this book on display at a bookstore, I would pick it up to read the back cover. Would you?

The cover of the book is attractive. One there is ablend of both bright and dull colours. One foe example is black. Next, there is an image of a human dressed as a Millionaire, which is likely the author.
