How effective was the suspense in "Bless Your Heart: A Jeannie Johal Thriller" by Susann Camus?

I enjoyed the mystery and suspense levels in this book. I could not figure out who the killer was until they were revealed. That is the way good mysteries and crime thrillers should be.

I think the suspense was well placed. It takes time and piecing together of series of events before I could understand certain plot twists. This is something I always look forward to anytime I pick up a copy of a thriller.

I think the mystery was diminished by the way the chapters jumped from one character to another. I did feel suspenseful wondering how all the pieces were going to fit together.

One of the main suspense factors was being introduced to two different murders and cases, mainly the case Harmony and Harmony and the case Jeannie was solving. It was suspenseful to see how the two cases were related, if at all.

I thought the book had a strong start, but after that I didn't find it very suspenseful. I didn't care for the way it jumped between characters. For me, it took away from the suspense rather than adding to it. I was still curious to see how it would all tie together in the end, though.

I felt that there should have been more suspense in regard to Jeannie's safety. She was afterall a big threat to the criminal element affecting the research center. I thought that when she went for lessons on how to use a firearm, there would have been an event in where she would be attacked and had to defend herself or be rescued by someone. This did not happen. It did happen to others, though.

The author did a great with the suspense; this kept me going on and on to figure out certain incidents. Overall, "Bless Your Heart: A Jeannie Johal Thriller" by Susann Camus? was incredibly fascinating.

There was suspense close to the end when Will found his girlfriend, La Donna, dead in her house. I could feel the rising action when the turn of events escalated and the drama heightened, so I would say it was effective and present.

I thought the suspense was effective. Even thought I didn't really like the book, I was genuinely interested in who was doing all the murdering!

This is a fast-reading story. I loved the Jeannie character, bravely working in a dangerous situation. I thought the book was suitable for teenagers and older. The different characters were fully developed. The La Donna and Will story was especially well written.

I had no clue who the murderer was! That makes for a good book. The writer left hints throughout the story. The poor prisoner who was beaten and his relationship with Harmony was so heartbreaking.

I enjoyed Jeannie trying to understand Southern culture, food, speech, and how she took in stride some of the inuendos for some of the racist comments. Most apologized when they became educated on why she was there.
