I like that the cover is bright, but it doesn’t scream thriller to me, and appears to be more of a romance novel with the giant heart at first glance. I think the art is fun and whimsical, but readers may incorrectly assume the book is a romance story!

Like several others, I initially thought this book was a romance novel. The main pink and red colors as well as the font resemble other romance novels that I've seen and read. My friend absolutely loves that genre, so I have seen several of her books. In my opinion, pretty font is a common theme or style used for the genre. The heart and title make it sound like a love story too. I clicked on the book to learn more about it after seeing the cover. It is eye-catching and drew me in! After reading a review, the plant on the cover and the person in the car have ties to the story. I also like that the heart looks like another monstera leaf. Although this is not a romance novel, I would still read it. The genre is thriller and mystery. I also enjoy that the book is self-published!
