Whenever I read, sci-fi, artificial intelligence related books I feel, Will this really happens? Or just we making random Guess or creating stories on current development in Artificial world?

What do you feel about this kind of books , which portraying the alternation of reality?

Companies such as Neuralink are developing a direct computer-brain interface, but that's an implant that requires surgery. In the novel, the simulation happens through a connection with a person's nerves, which is probably still far from reality.

I loved Jules Verne books as a kid. He talked about travel to the moon, traveling under the ocean etc. They were all far from reality at the time. So, the question is not if these things will happen, but when.

There are already virtual reality headset things, so I believe that a simulation is not too far of a reach. While the whole experience a year in less than 7 hours might not be as plausible, the technology does seem like something that could be around in the near future.

Technology is developing faster than we can imagine. While events might not happen exactly as they do in literature, we have already seen some "impossible things" being created. I think that something similar could happen in the near future.

The life presented in the book could happen if there's a combination of advanced AI prevalence and an authoritarian government dictating people's lives. The reality presented in the book seems far off, but the government would have to go to great lengths to keep the masses compliant.

I have come across real-life incidents that I had already read in science fiction books, such as the theme of time travel. So, I am very hopeful that the current developments in Artificial Intelligence are a future possibility. They indicate towards the future happenings and will shape the trajectory of the human race.

Most speculative dystopian science fiction write about the things that are already happening, but in secret, or are already contemplated by the tech moguls etc. so I don't think the reality is far off.

I think these books carry some truth and a few possibilities for them to happen, but not to the extreme extent they present. We are already starting to rely on AI in a lot of Jobs that require digital assistance, and a lot of our home appliances are already linked to our smartphones.

Based on our current technological growth, the simulations might become a reality in future. I just hope it will be smooth and will not pose any issues.

Considering the fast pace of Artificial Intelligence in recent years, and virtual reality existing in the real world, it is very likely that we will see simulations like the ones presented in 'Anticipation Day: What Would You Do?'
