'It’s a journey of self discovery rolled up in a mystery. There are also religious undertones and roots in Irish folklore. I think it’s the kind of book that will affect each person who reads it differently.'
This description is interestingly compelling me to read this book.

Thin places by Diane Owens Prettyman:

It sounds fascinating, but it's a little perplexing. I enjoy the idea of uncovering the truth and determining who the perpetrator is, but when things are overlayered, they can become distracting and confusing to the main plot. I am not sure if I would enjoy this one.

It sounds like *Thin Places* by Diane Owens Prettyman combines several deep elements, from self-discovery to redemption, with a dash of mystery and even moral dilemmas. The review highlights the complexity of Finn Tully's journey, from grappling with the fallout of his personal life to fulfilling a dying man's last wish. The added dimension of Chloe's struggles with her father's legacy and financial survival brings in a compelling layer of realism, making it a multidimensional narrative.

I appreciate how the review touches on the character development and the emotional weight that comes with Tully's and Chloe's choices. The critique about the climax feeling a bit rushed is insightful, as a well-paced resolution can often elevate a story. Overall, the journey of redemption, mixed with the moral challenges of smuggling and dealing with a criminal past, sounds like a gripping combination that will resonate differently with each reader, depending on their personal experiences. It seems like a powerful read!

Wow! This story is intriguing. I rarely ever think about people on death row. The beginning of this story made me think deeply about the effect that capital punishment has on everyone involved. It is, especially, sad for the innocent. One part that made me laugh, was when Finn mentions how there are unspoken rules in prison, which include beating pedophiles and shunning those who harm or con the elderly. If this book wasn't fiction I would say there is more morality in prison than outside it.

I would love to find out how Tully handles this and if he was able to find Calvary's daughter and pass the news. Congrats on BOTD

This book that has religious undertones and roots in Irish folklore must be an exciting book to read. If anything, I will want to know how religion and folklore played a role in the book.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story about a man who, after being imprisoned, becomes friends with a death row inmate who tells the man all about his daughter, life and treasure. Before the inmate's execution, the man promises to meet the daughter and tell her about her father. When the man is eventually released, he has to deal with a divorce and his mother having cancer. Eventually, he takes his mother to meet his friend's daughter where he relates her father's story and then develop a relationship together. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Thin Places by Diane Owens It appears that Prettyman stimulates intense contemplation and provides a deep emotional experience. It is especially captivating because of its entwined themes of relational inquiry, personal growth, and salvation. Finn Tully, the main character, intrigues me because he must choose between carrying out a dying man's final wish and resolving his own personal issues. The plot becomes even more intricate as a result of Chloe's battle with her father's legacy and her attempts to keep things balanced. The plot is made unique and engaging by this intriguing combination of moral difficulties and mystery.

Great review, i was intrigued to it by the title, which is based on Celtic folklore, but being a Celt, I was disappointed that it scarcely touched on this subject. I believe the finale, with the presence of Calvery, might have been omitted, and a sense of the supernatural would have been more credible.
