This sounds like a unique and intriguing book. Something different so to speak. I'm curious to see how everything unfolds and whether Chloe make the right decision. The Irish folklore is something that I'm really interested in so I'm quite excited to read about this. Congrats on BOTD.

Sounds like an incredible crime thriller that shares an inspiring story of an inmate who was tasked by an executed man to find his prodigal daughter once he is released from prison. Will Tully manage to find Calvery's daughter? And what crime led to both Calvery and Tully be sentence to death and jail term respectively? I will read the book to find out.

One thing I really appreciated about your review is how you gave such a detailed summary of the plot while also sharing your personal reactions. The way you described the characters' journeys and the anticipation of Tully and Chloe's eventual meeting really drew me in. Great job!

The execution of a death row inmate was to have repercussions for the lives of his near and dear ones, including a man he befriended just a day before his death. Thin Places seems like a nice book with an interesting plot weaved around love, loss, hope, and fortitude.

This book offers an intriguing blend of self-discovery, mystery, and spiritual undertones that seem to defy easy categorization. The story’s complexity, with its layers of Irish folklore, religious elements, and the quest for redemption, creates a rich and emotionally compelling narrative. Nice review.

"Thin Places" by Diane Owens Prettyman is a mystery combined with Irish folklore and religion. Finn Tully is a convict and heroin addict in a Texas prison that befriends another con named Calvery who is on death row while he is mopping floors. Tully sneaks Calvery sugar and Calvery gives him wine that he makes from the sugar. Calvery has a daughter named Chloe that he really loves but will never see again since he is going to be executed. Calvery makes Tully promise that when he gets out of prison, he will find Chloe and tell her how he feels about her and that he was wrongly convicted. Tully gets released shortly after he learns that his wife has divorced him so he goes to see his mother and the two of them go to the state of Washington to look for Chloe. They find Chloe by chance and also find Calvery’s partner Butch who is reluctant to tell Chloe about her father. One needs to read the book to find out what happens in Washington. Good review.

The characters appear to be well-crafted, each dealing with their own demons. Finn’s evolution from a self-described liar and addict to someone who seeks to honor a dying wish shows significant personal growth. Chloe's struggle to manage her father's legacy while trying to support her mother adds an emotional layer that readers can empathize with.

I’m hooked by how unpredictable this story sounds. The intertwining journeys of Tully and Chloe, along with the mystery of Calvery’s innocence, make it seem like a truly thought-provoking read!

This novel is a mysterious and introspective voyage. This is the kind of book that, depending on who reads it, will give each reader a unique viewpoint. Even though these books are quite informative, I don't find them that interesting to read, yet the plot held my attention. I'm interested to see what happens to Chloe and Tully in the future. Despite my expectation based on the title that the novel would have anything to do with supernatural fiction or traveling to other worlds, I am not let down after reading the review. I'll read this when I get it.

Nice review
Thin places is a good book . The author did good. I read the sample of the book and I'm interested in knowing what Tully does after he goes out of prison. Will he keep the promise he made?,Will he look for the treasure? .

With themes of mystery and self-discovery, a dying father's wish, and a friend who needs to fulfil the wish, there is a lot of drama involved in this story. Chloe's involvement in the smuggling scheme adds to tension for the readers.

It sounds like Thin Places is such a captivating mix of self-discovery, mystery, and deep emotional themes. I love that the story blends Irish folklore and religious undertones, making it unique. The characters seem so compelling, and I can’t wait to see how Tully’s journey for redemption plays out.
