Going into this book, I expected more of a fairytale-ish theme as the name of the book itself suggests hints of Celtic/Irish folklore. Needless to say, I was fairly disappointed; not just at the lack of the aforementioned folklore, but at the overall structure and the way the plot was carried out as well. The narrative switch was quite confusing, and the story would've been so much better if the author fleshed out everything a bit more to fit the plot. Overall, I'd say it was not the most pleasant read, but not the worst read either.

The blend of prison life and folklore makes this book sound like quite the mystery!

I think this book has a different story in one. I love the different angles of this story and would love to read it to get a clearer picture of what truly happened. Nice review, congrats on BOTD.

A story that begins in a prison in Texas. I like books that feels hard to describe. A mystery story with religious undertones? I would love to dig into this book.

I wonder what crime Calvery was charged with, since he insists that he is innocent. But finding out and proving his innocence won't bring him back to life as he had already died for a crime he didn't commit. I hope Tully gets the word out to Chloe and help Chloe from the mess she put herself in. Congrats on BOTD!!

I think it will be an emotional read for me. The friendship between Calvery and Tully and Tully trying to fulfill Calvery's wish will be a good experience to read.

Based on the official review given on the book 'Thin places" this book is quite interesting and at the same time confusing but I will say it is all down to the fact that I have not read the book.
The review shows that the main idea of the story is centred on redemption and trials.
I don't really have much to say on this book, but nevertheless I would love to read it and find more about this intriguing story because the official review was not really explanatory and I found it hard to comprehend what the story is about.
In conclusion, my verdict on this book is that one needs to read it himself to understand it.

"Thin Places" by Diane Owens Prettyman is the story of a man named Tully, who is a prison inmate. He makes friends with another inmate, Calvery, and they become friends. Prior to Calvery's execution, he begs Tully to find his daughter Chloe and prove that he was innocent. Tully later gets his freedom but realizes that he has lost everything, including his wife and daughter. Tully is heartbroken but decides to carry out his dying friend's request. Will his quest be fruitful, or is it just a waste of time? This is a very interesting book. Nice and detailed review.
