To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

I agree 100% with Paliden! The first book was excellent - great character and story development; twists and turns no one could predict; and believable character growth. I couldn't put it down! So when I finished it, I tried the next book, but couldn't get past chapter 2.Paliden wrote: ↑27 Aug 2015, 14:47 The first book is great. From there, it went downhill to me. A lot of philosophy........but no way to top the first book. If it had been left with just Ender's Game, it would be great. Also, the movie stayed very true to form in following the book which is rare enough. Loved that!!
The movie was definitely very true to form!

I agree - the casting was great! I thought the movie was well adapted and easy to follow even for people who hadn't read the books.
