Oooh... toughie... it's been a few years, but I recall enjoying the Phule books more. There are less of them, too; I think there are about 5-7, whereas the MYTH ones rate up into the teens.

Awesome! Thanks for the rec. I'm always on the lookout for books that are funny. Terry Pratchett is one of the few that have made me laugh out loud.

The dark lords handbook by Paul Dale is funny in a more quiet way. I found myself going into work with a secret smile, because of a line I'd read.

The rivers of London series by Ben Aaronvich is very well written, it's a first person account, and the humour is more related to the characters observations, than full blown satire.

I have read the entire discworld series, and with very few exceptions, think they are utterly fantastic. The witty writing style and loveable characters will get you hooked!! Also, later in the series he brings things from our world into theirs. For example, there is a book where the wizards invent football, and another where the steam engine is invented. These are also great because you can relate to the stories. I recommend you keep reading them!

'Going Postal' is a creation myth for the post office system. Is also a fun look at stamp collecting. I really liked the idea of picking a bad boy to get the job done - and this was a particularly loveable rascal!

I think he's not for everyone, but I've always enjoyed Pratchett's work. DEATH has got to be among my favourite versions of him, and the witches are an enjoyable lot. I also think that the satire gets sharper and more cutting later on in his books, but The Color of Magic was a good start.
