I’ve loved all of V.E. Schwab’s other writing so I was surprised that The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue was one that I started, put down, and never picked back up. It just didn’t hook me and it’s still sitting on my bookshelf, waiting to be finished.

Yes, I was disappointed by Josephine Tey’s most famous work (“The Daughter of Time”). I have no idea why this overly researched historical novel gets the limelight. “Brat Farrar” and “Franchise Affair” are far better.
