Naoki Urasawa

Post by BizzyLizzy »

I just felt this forum really needed a topic on him. He's wonderful. :)

I'm not sure how many people here have heard of him, but he is a Japanese manga artist/storywriter, and he is my idol when it comes to crafting an engaging and meaningful story. The way he handles plot and character and is so well-informed on all his topics, and the art?! *sigh* I was in love!

Anyone else here read some of his stuff? I've finished PLUTO and MONSTER and am on a quest to find them somewhere cheap so I can buy them all. What did you guys think of it? :)

Latest Review: "Why is the moon following us?" by María Escobedo Cubas

My friend absolutely loved 'Pluto' and read the entire thing in one day while keeping me updated on their thoughts of it through our conversation on skype! I have to say, from everything they said about it, I'm really curious and plan to read it at some point soon.

I've read a bit of 'Monster' and was planning on reading more soon and maybe watching the anime too, I liked it a lot so far!
