Andre Dubus - similar fiction?

Post by wolfmansteven »

Hey folks,

I have recently been reading some short stories by this author and would love to find more books/authors with similar themes.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Similar authors are Richard Yates "The Collected Short Stories of Richard Yates", Ann Cummins "Red Ant House" and Chang-Rae Lee "Native Speaker".

Family members of Andre Dubus (1936-1999) have also written novels. He was the father of Andre Dubus III and uncle of DeLaune Michel so perhaps you could look into their works.

The last books Dubus wrote were non-fiction Broken Vessels and Meditations From A Moveable Chair. Also, Jeffrey Archer's short story collections always have a twist.
