I love Robert Hellenga's beautiful, heartfelt novels about Americans in Italy. I particularly enjoyed
"The Italian Lover", "The Sixteen Pleasures" and "The Fall of a Sparrow".

When I contacted him to see when he would write another book about protagonist Margo Harrington, he politely mentioned that he was done with the series. Apparently he has had enough, but I sure haven't!
As far as romance goes, he has the middle-aged woman psyche down!

Can anyone recommend an author who writes wonderful stories about American expats in Italy?
