Re: All the books of an author...
Oh yes. I used to work in a library, and at that time I read All of Agatha Christie's novels.
I've read all the JD Robb In Death series so far, and I love the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum Series.
I have also read all of Madeleine L'Engle, CS Lewis, and JRR Tolkien.
When I find an author I like I tend to look for anything I can of their work.

But that's recent. As a girl I read everything Enid Blyton wrote.

I've probably held off reading those since they are very different from the four I've already read from him: Last and First Men, Star Maker (my favorite book of all time too), Death into Life & Darkness and the Light. All of them have a common writing style and theme that enraptured me.
There was also a great short story of his called East is West (or was it the other way around?) that is exactly about what the title implies, but with Stapledon's unique twist.
Another one might be G.K. Chesterton. The Club of Queer Trades was a ton of fun to get through. The Man Who Knew Too Much was similar but not quite my cup of tea. Nevertheless, I feel like I want to see further into Chesterton's bibliography.
