Currently Dana Stabenow is my favorite author. I'm reading the Kate Shugak series and I'm completely caught up in the character.

I have different favorite authors for different genres. For mysteries my favorite is Joanne Fluke. In that same genre I also like Joan Lowry Nixon. In Amish fiction I like Beverly Lewis, Beth Wiseman, and Wanda Brunstetter. Christian fiction genre: Karen Kingsbury. Also like the authors J.K. Rowling and Stephanie Myers. That's a few of my favorites.

I always read a lot of books but I don't usually read from the same author. As a child I was obsessed with Jacqueline Wilson and loved all of her books, but now I just read books that interest me and I don't follow a particular author. However, I do love the series of 'Noughts and Crosses' by Malorie Blackman, and I think that she writes them very well. I've done an in-depth review of the first in this series if anyone is interested in reading it!

Definitely Michael Grant at the moment. He always draws me in and doesn't let me go until I finish the entire series. Joint favourite would also be Neil Gaiman. He is so wonderful and crafts the most amazing worlds which I find myself feeling like it's real and daydreaming about for days after I finish the book.

At the moment I'd have to say my favorite author is Dan Brown. I studied art history in college and when The Da Vinci Code came out, I was beyond thrilled to read it. It was so amazing to actually relate to certain places and paintings he had described in the novel. I wasn't a huge fan of Angels & Demons though. But, when I heard about his novel, Inferno, and read what it was about, I immediately picked up a copy. Inferno is by far my favorite book by Dan Brown.

Neil Gaiman, almost definitely. I also love Victor Hugo and am rediscovering the joys of Charles Dickens. Diane Duane is also an incredible writer, both in science fiction and fantasy.

To second several others (I have trouble picking favorites): Shakespeare, Rowling, Austen, Martin, and Poe.
