Authors care what you think about their books so give them feedback. Tell them how much you can't wait for the next book or for the movie to come out. (only if you mean it though) They like knowing that their hard work is appreciated. Ask them questions. If you wondered how they came up with the idea to create a certain character, ask. There are a few questions you should avoid: How much money they make? Which is their favorite book? Anything that could be too personal. Just use your judgment, if you don't think it's appropriate, don't ask it. Also if you are a writer yourself, ask them about their writing process, how to get published, things like that. You can also talk to them about their childhood, lifestyle now, and family. The options are limitless!!! I hope this helped those of you who are going to be meeting authors and don't know what to do. Remember: Authors are people just like you and me.

Haha, j/k.
Does it count if I have met myself? Oh wait, I have met Kate Bennett! Little known author of a single book. She's my friend.
