Helen Dunmore. She writes about different historical periods but her characters always resonate.

There are a few authors that I will read just about anything they come up with because I trust it'll be worth my time. Mira Grant, Pierce Brown, Leigh Bardugo, & Markus Zusak just to name a few!

I often recommend Amy Bartol. Writes the Premonition series and Kricket series, both of which are New Age Fantasy books. She is a fantastic author that creates new worlds with her books.

I must always recommend the author Mark Z Danielewski because he is unique and powerful and breaks bounds whenever possible. He plays around with the physical formatting and blurs the lines of acceptable linguistics. He also brings emotional ties to every word and character in a different way that seems to connect to each other.

Ursula K. Le Guin, William Shakespeare, Jules Verne, H. G. Wells, Studs Terkel... The list goes on and on.

I will always love and never forget Jennifer L Armentrout and Becca Fitzpatrick. Jennifer L Arementrout is the author of two of my favorite series, The Dark Elements and The Lux series. The Lux series was actually my first series that I fell in love with and it made me start reading more. The Dark Elements, wow, an amazing series, I am partial to paranormal type books but this one blew me away. WIth Becca Fitzpatrick, there is the Hush Hush saga, Dangerous Lies, and Black Ice. Those I fell in love with instantly. I starte with the Hush Hush Series and my obsession with Fitzpatrick only grew from there. I then read Black Ice and it felt like I fell in love again, and then Dangerous Lies, the more realistic of Fitzpatrick's books, but that makes it all the better.

Gail Tsukiyama! Her books will make you cry. they're not exactly romance books but she looks into so many real life issues even rare diseases. Plus some of her books even tap into issues feminists or liberal women have to face. I highly recommend all of her books.

Oh, I adore the work of Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. I read almost all of her novels, at least the ones that are available in my home-town. She put so much passion and energy into her books,.. They come alive - if you ask me:).

I am constantly recommending Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell, the dynamic duo that gave us The Edge Chronicles, Barnaby Grimes, and Far-flung Adventures. Paul Stewart is the author, and Chris Riddell is the amazing line-drawing artist who illustrates all the book series they make together. I read them over and over.

Can I put down multiple authors? I'm going to anyway.
John Ringo, Taylor Anderson, Terry Pratchett, Jim Butcher, and David Weber.

Gillian Flynn is one of my newer favorite authors. She's brilliant and always keeps the reader guessing. She may have some sociopathic tendencies because I don't think anyone could predict the ending to any of her books. They're thrilling, well written, and keep you hanging on. Of her 3 crime novels, Sharp Objects is my favorite. She recently came out with a short story, but I haven't gotten to reading it yet. Love this author!
