I've gotten through Divergent, but didn't really think that it was anything special. It had an interesting story premise, but fell into that same kind of YA rut that a lot of books in the genre fall. I thought it was good entertainment wise, but not much else.

I read the entire series and gave the entire series a 3 (out of 5 since I was reviewing for my own blog). The story was an easy read but was lacking in so many areas. The world development, character development, and plot needed work. I breezed through each book but it was missing something. She is a good storyteller but she definitely needs to develop more in quite a few areas.
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

I flew through all three books even though I didn't care for the last two books. I really liked Tobias, I thought he was a very well developed character. I felt like the story could have been much more developed, too many aspects were just glossed over that would have really added to the series.

I feel like my opinion is pretty similar to a lot of other peoples' in this forum. I really liked the her first book and her second book was pretty good but the third fell really flat. I think that her style changed a lot with her switching narrative and I think that she just really rushed the ending. I wasn't left satisfied at all. That being said, I would still read something new from her as an author. I think she has a lot of potential and I'll be on the look out for her new books!

I enjoyed her books, though more for quick entertainment than for something deep. I think I may be in the minority here, because I liked the fact that (SPOILERS) Tris died. I think it could have worked if it had been played out a bit better, perhaps tying it back in with Al's death from the first book with something about the bravery of going into death, which could have been a theme played out throughout the trilogy.

She's only 25?! Wow, I feel lazy and unaccomplished…

She is amazing. I know there are some readers who found issues with her plot but, for me, as long as an author can keep my attention and make the story entertaining, then I chalk it up as a good book. Her series has been one of my favorites so far and I hope she continues to produces books of the same quality. I could not put any of the books in the Divergent series down when I was reading them and I'm pretty sure I got through all of them in about a week…which rarely happens.

Also, I loved the first movie (Four….*gasp* *swooning*) and can't wait for the next ones!

I plan on seeing Divergent, but only because I like MAggie Q.
