Right Now it's Jo Nesbo but it will always be the true crime thriller star, Steig Larsson. God he's absolutely brilliant. I'm just si bummed that he couldn't complete his books before his sudden death. A true loss to the world of crime fiction.

My favorite non-American author are Ken Follet (British), Arthur Hailey (Canadian), Jane Harper (Australian) Paul Coelho (Brazilian), Stieg Larsson (Swedish) and Joe Nesbo (Norwegian). These are all good suspense writers except for Paul Coelho.
