King Lear has always been a favorite of mine although I've never seen it on stage. I think I most enjoy watching comedies. The last one I was performed was As You Like It.

I like The Midsummer’s Night Dream and Julius Caesar. The latter is intense. I got emotional reading it.

I have read many plays from Shakespeare but Julius Caesar was my best. The character Brutus shows us that they are friends who can stab us in the back whilst we think they are true friends but they are not.

Much Ado About Nothing without a doubt. I love tragedy as much as the next person, but Much Ado manages to fit a moral allegory of honor, integrity, reputation, and crippling guilt and grief into a farce that includes the most unexpected happy ending that I can think of. In a way, the events were truly ‘ado about nothing’, but at the same time, each character had to experience hurt, guilt, and anger over what they perceived to be true in order to be better, stronger people in the end who truly valued each other.

I have read very few Shakespeare plays. Of the ones I have read, I enjoyed reading Much Ado About Nothing. It had me laughing a lot throughout my read. Beatrice and Claudio were my favorite characters.

I really love Macbeth, read it first at school but I loved it straight away. Strong themes throughout and I loved how Lady Macbeth was shown to be mentally stronger than her Husband as some points in the play which was really uncommon.

My favorites are definitely The Tempest and Hamlet. I'm trying to get into more of his sonnets and lesser-known plays, so I got the Completed Works of Shakespeare for Christmas last year. Very excited to read more!

I really liked "King Lear" for drama. I like "Midsummer Nights Dream" for comedy. I've read Romeo and Juliet too many times now though. I taught it 6 periods a day for the past 3 years to 9th graders. I have found interesting ways to teach it effectively though, haha. I still like it as well, so I guess that says something.
