My favorite authors at the moment are John Green, Jay Asher, Veronica Roth, and Laini Taylor.

If you enjoy reading fantasy and "other-worldly" books, I highly recommend Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor. I love and I plan on reading the rest of the trilogy.

I read a lot of young adult books, and I'm way past that age. I tell people it's so I can keep up with the genre' as I'm a writer. But really, I just like them.
Some of my favorite authors are Cornelia Funke, John Flanagan, Brandon Mull, Madeleine L'Engle, and C. S. Lewis.

Wow I though I was the only adult that loved young adult books. They are always about the simple things in life not to much sex and they are nice to read. I think that I could write a young adult book.

I love the concept of the young adult genre (I read voraciously growing up and hope to write my own YA one day), but have honestly been pretty disappointed with the quality of the young adult books that have become immensely popular over the past few years (especially the supernatural romances).

I am definitely more drawn to Young Adult novels. I love almost every single one. So far this year I have read Delirium (still need to read the next one in the series), The Madman's Daughter (gotta read the second one too!), The Chaos of Stars, and Tides. Omg, tides. I wrote a review for it on goodreads, and Betsy Cornwell (the author) loved my review, I was so shocked! That's literally never happened to me before. I think that's another reason why I'm more drawn to the YA genre, because the authors always seem to be way more involved and in touch with their readers. They get up and personal with us and it's awesome. I mean, look at John Green. He's created an entire community, albeit his YouTube vlogs really helped, but it all really started with his books. Authors like that are the best, so yeah. I love Young Adult authors and novels!

My new favorite Yound Adult author right now is Marissa Meyer. I have read the first two books (Cinder and Scarlet) in the Lunar Chronicles. Cinder is loosely based on Cinderella and is a futuristic novel. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy yet another Cinderella story but this is really an exciting premise. Her books are consistent. Her writing style develops strong characters. When you read her novels you do not want to put them down. You can see the story unwind vividly in your head. I recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys YA.

My favorite YA author and author in general is definitely John Green. Each of his books are approached differently. They are all so personal and genuine. And they are so emotional and intelligent. Excellent for teens and adults alike.

Young Adults are for teenagers and young adults. I'm sure they're not being mentioned here because I don't think young adults really use forums anymore, they're all on facebook, twitter and goodness knows what other websites there are
