I regard him as the best Nigerian writer, even though Chimamanda is trying to unseat him from that throne. He is one writer that I enjoyed reading his books since when I was a teen.

While a lot of people regard him as a novelist, he is excellent when it comes to writing about history.

Chinua Achebe's books introduced me in the world of literature. I have read most of his books and in particular I loved "Things fall apart ". It tells about the arrival of the whites in Africa and the different reactions that followed the colonisation. Unless the centre holds, things will continue to fall apart!

I have only read [Things Fall Apart], which I read for a graduate literature class, and I really enjoyed that book! It's been a while since I read it, and I don't remember a whole lot about it, but I'm at least passingly familiar with the author Chinua Achebe

In school I read Things Fall Apart but haven’t picked up one of his books on my own. I am interested in reading more African authors and I have heard other things written by this author are very good

I only read Things Fall Apart back in highschool. Although it was mandatory to read the book because we'd be assessed on it, I absolutely enjoyed reading the book. So many interesting aspects and I particularly liked the development of Okonkwo's characters. I'd love to read more of his work. Any suggestions?

I've been meaning to read Things Fall Apart for many years now ever since I saw it on my mother's bookshelf. She said it was an excellent book. Thanks for reminding me!
