I have never in my life read everything by a certain author, based solely on the fact that they wrote it!

I choose a book to read because the synopsis and reviews made the book sound interesting to me.

The first author whom i read was 'Enid Blyton' and she became one of my most favorite ones! I read the whole Famous Five series. But couldn't read all her creations! Jane Austen became the one author whose every single creation I have savoured and enjoyed too. :D

Ditto, Radika. I read absolutely everything I could find by Enid Blyton when I was a child (except the Noddy and Big Ears stories!) - starting with the Secret Seven, then the Famous Five. I also read some in a series with a variety of titles like, The Valley of Adventure and the Island of Adventure. I remember the names of characters in the FF books, but not the others.
In later life, I can't say I've read everything by any single author. I've read a lot of Dickens, but by no means all of them.

Probably Dr. Seuss

Julia Quinn. I never liked historical romances before her books, but after I read one I got hooked and have finished all of them. I can't pinpoint just one thing that got me hooked but I think its the history behind it and a look into romance that is so different from this day and age. Its not everyone's cup of tea but I personally love it.

I have read every book written by Ellen Hopkins and she is my favorite author. None of her books were disappointing, they were all just as good as the one before it. :)

I think it was S.E. Hinton. I fell in love with "The Outsiders"

I dunno though...I was pretty obsessed with Amelia Bedelia if I remember right....

Holly Black was the first author that I had to read everything by. Not only did I have to read everything by her, I had to own it! Since then, her books seem too childish for me to get real excited but I remain loyal.

This post brings back so many good memories. The very first "must read all" was the R. L. Stine Fear Street series and there were many variations of it. I loved the goosebumps ones too. This was when I was in 6th grade or so. Then I started reading Harry Potter books and in between that discovered Julia Alvarez. Through college I read all of Julia Alvarez's books that were out. She's put a couple more since and I have to catch up. Also, Isabel Allende.

Sharon Creech. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the others after reading the first one, I think it was The Wanderer. Then came the Warriors books, definitely my first book obsession.

John Green. I first read his book Looking For Alaska and I have read everything he has published. I own all his books, two of which are being turned into movies, Paper Towns and The Fault In Our Stars. He is the author who really made me realize I wanted to become a writer.

John Green. I have read all of his books, and I`m 13. Although he has only 5 books, I read them all in one summer. They were amazing, and I would read them all again.
