If I go back far enough, the first author I remember having that feeling with was Christopher Pike. My mother would take me to the library when I was in my tweens/teens and I would check out everything on the shelf that I could find. Now, the author I can't get enough of is J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts with the "In Death" series. I think I have read it start to finish around 7 times, usually after there have been 2 or 3 new releases. In fact, I'm in the middle of it as we speak :)

Jodi Picoult was the first author that I had to read "everything" by. The first book I read by her was "Handle With Care" and after that book I was hooked on her style of writing. She is expertly skilled in creating depth in her character's personalities and in the plot of her books.

When I was really young I was obsessed with Nate the Great books by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat. I spent a summer reading all the books...around second grade. Then I had to read everything by Gary Paulsen. Now I love books by Charliane Harris...I'm almost done with her books and read the new ones the day they are released.

Casey Watson. She's not particularly well known, she writes about her experiences as a foster carer.

S.C Stephens, was the first real romance series that I had ever gotten into and waited weeks for each new book to come out in the most impatient way. I read one of her full length novel in two days that I waited two months for, worth it.

I devoured Franklin W. Dixon's Hardy Boys in middle school. Our library had a great collection in this series, and I credit these books with my continuing devotion to the mystery genre.

I run to the bookstore when a Jennifer Armentrout book is released! I am still working on reading all of her books, but I am slowly getting to all of them! She has written many YA series', as well as New Adult books. If you haven't read any of her books, I highly recommend them!

R. L. Stine. I had to read all the Goosebump and Fear street books. I also read everything V.C. Andrews had written when I was in my teenage years.

When I was young I had to read Beverly Cleary's books and all the Nancy Drew books. When I was older, I moved on to Danielle Steele's books. Now I find myself reading all the teen books my kids read.

My go to authors were ( and still are ) Sarah Dessen and Nicholas Sparks. I read almost all of Nicholas Sparks's books in 8th grade and I am still reading Sarah Dessen books.

When I was a child, it was Agatha Christie. Sleeping Murder was my favourite. Also the Hardy Boys books. Can anyone remember who the author was?

I was instantly hooked on Diana Gabaldon! I loved her creativity and I swear I could hear a Scot's accent in my head when I read her books. She doesn't write the genre I normally read, but I couldn't put "Outlander" down. I have all of the books in hardback and I think I've read each one about 4 times. Yep, I'm hooked.

Andrew Clements! Even though he writes children's books, I still read his new ones.
