My favorite is 'A Christmas Carol' with 'Oliver Twist' running a close second.

OLIVER TWIST
I love that book and can't believe it took me so long to get around to read it. I love how he involves all the characters in the book and as a reader I managed to create a vivid picture of the story in my mind.

I absolutely love A Christmas Carol. I reread it every December!

Mine would have to be Hard Times as well! Oh, but Great Expectations is also a really close runner-up.

It's not on your list, but David Copperfield is one of my favorite books I've ever read. I was excited when I read somewhere that it was Dickens' personal favorite as well. I admit I've never read Christmas Carol, I should get on that!

David Copperfield failed to resonate with me when I was forced to read it in high school (and all the other classes got to read Tale of Two Cities). What about it did you like so much / worked so well for you?

Oliver Twist. Read it in middle school and still one of my favorite books. I like christmas carol too.
