I am not a troglodyte. I read the classics, non fiction, I've even read some romance novels. Stephen King delivers.
The things which make a story divine - I find in his books. I get lost in the story, I can picture the place and I know the people. I love reading. I love reading a good story. I keep reaching for Stephen King's books because I can rely on a good read.

I love reading Agatha Chrisitie, Arthur Connan Doyle and a new discovery B.C.Stone ( murder at the belmar) who writes on similar lines, just a bit slow to start with.
Then, I admit that Jackie Collins is my favourite, but many people label her books as trash - sad really. I am a fan but cannot stand the other authors who try so hard to copy her style, fill up their books with heavy words, sex and verbal abuse. J J Salem held my attention for a while but sadly I felt it just fell into the above mentioned trap. But, I have discovered a book by M. Howson after reading Chances by J Collins. M.Howson (the principle of chance) writes along those lines and when I read the first few chapters of her book I thought it will be just the same. I was pleasantly surprised at the story and must admit liked it better than Jackie's books.
And the last one is MG Sweeney - for the love of god - nothing I would read but I was laughing out loud from the first page. The going gets a bit heavy towards the end but he has a sense of humour.

Keith Donohue: He has the unique capability of combining fantasy with realism. Not to mention, his writing style is beautiful, strong and steady.
J.R.R. Tolkien: I can't give him enough credit for the amazing world he has created through all of his works. His stories keep me constantly entertained. Sometimes I'm so focused on learning all of the terminology and history that I lose myself completely while reading. That's why I find so much enjoyment by reading and rereading all of his books.
Stephen King: I'll admit that haven't read as many books as most fans of King, but I've come to appreciate his style and his creativity in the few that I have read. He is truly a master of literature.
Jane Austen: Her understanding of women in her era is extraordinary to me. There really are no words to describe my awe for Austen being so ahead of her time. And when it comes to the act of storytelling, I greatly admire the multidimensional characters she so successfully wove into her plots.
