For me it was Judy Blume. I remember reading "Are you there God it's me Margaret" when I was 11 years old and my world changed. I remember how vividly I saw the characters and the emotions that I felt not only while I was reading it but for many years to come. I have been in love with books every since.

Nicholas Sparks was the author who ignited my passion for reading. His stories drew me in, and I never could put any of his books down. Each story was unique and intriguing.

Just like many people here, I'm sure, JK did it for me. I read aplenty before my intro to Harry Potter, but HP changed everything. I was blessed enough to be, in my opinion, the perfect age for the series and grew up with it. They are the only books (besides The Hobbit) that I can read over and over again without getting bored 1/3 of the way in. I'm a sucker for stories and worlds so deep you find something new every time you revisit.

For me, it all started with Junie B. Jones and a teacher who had a great passion for reading to her students. Each part of our day would consist of reading in front of the class from a Junie B. Jones book and the class of 23 5th grade students was enraptured by her voices and passion. She gave life to books and to me, personally. Thank you, Mrs. Paul!

For me, it was J.K. Rowling. The Harry Potter books were the first ones that really got me into reading. I am so grateful for that also, because I have read so many wonderful books since then, though the Harry Potter books will always hold a special place in my heart.

Stephanie Meyer brought back my love for books with the Twilight saga! Now I enjoy the escape from reality with a great book and a big glass of wine!

I don't remember a time when I didn't read. As a young child I would be inside reading while all my friends would be outside playing. I love books.

I've always loved to read but more in my teenage years it was Suzanne Collins! I LOVED the Hunger Games series, and now I am really into the dystopian theme of books.

I can't remember a time when I didn't know how to read, so there are so so many authors! But if I really had to narrow it down, I think Tamora Pierce and C.S. Lewis ignited the writing fire.

I read The Hunger Games just to see what all the hype was about. I couldn't put it down. I read the entire trilogy without pause.

Too many to mention. As a teen, I really enjoyed reading V. C. Andrews (Flowers in the Attic series).

It started for me with Robyn Letterman Fashionably dead I received the book for free through Amazon read it loved it, and still continuing to buy the series, and many other books she has made. She to me is a great writer makes it fun and certainly entertaining if you have not read any copies from her I suggest you do

A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks is what started my love affair with romance novels.
